One of the top-rated, and most heavily sought-after, girls basketball players in the state of Wisconsin has made the decision to play for the Badgers.  Ripon senior Taylor Wurtz gave a verbal commitment to Coach Lisa Stone.  Wurtz had scholarship offers to all of the Big Ten schools except Purdue, Illinois, and Penn state.  She was also received interest from 2007 National Champion Rutgers.  In the end Wisconsin, Michigan, and Louisville were seen as the front-runners.  Michigan is coached by former UW-Green Bay head coach Kevin Borseth, who followed Wurtz since her freshman year.  But Coach Stone made Taylor her number one priority, going so far as to attend 15 of Wurtz's 17 AAU games during the July open recruiting period.
