Coaching History?  This my first year at Waupaca High School as the Varsity Girls Coach.  Previously I was a volunteer at Platteville High School for the boys program in 05-06 and then was a graduate assistant for UW-Platteville's Men's basketball team from 2006-08.  While at PHS, the head coach was unable to attend a game so I was the 'head coach' that game.  We won so technically I came into Waupaca 1-0 as a Varsity coach!

What made you get into coaching?  Growing up I always had a passion for basketball.  I had some success as a player and went on to play in college.  By then, I was hooked.  The game has done so much for me that I wanted to give back to the game through coaching.  The most influential person for me as a coach would have to be my father.  He was an Athletic Director at Southwestern High School during my younger years and he instilled the competitive drive that I have today.

Thing you like best about coaching girls basketball?  The girls listen very well and are really looking to please those around them.  It is a fun thing to be a part of when the light comes on and the girls "get it."  It is very rewarding working with these young ladies.

Most memorable coaching moment?  My first win would have to be the most memorable.

If you could spend the day with one current or former professional or college athlete who would it be and why?  I would love to spend a day with Charles Barkley.  I think it would be a blast to hear about his experiences in the pros and his time playing for the Dream Team.  I don t know if there would be a dull moment during the day.

If you could spend the day with one other coach (high school, college or pro) who would It be and why?  There are so many coaches I would love to spend time with and pick their brain.  On the men s side I would spend time with Coach Ryan or Coach K.  One the women s side I would seek out Coach Summit or Geno.  There are also so many quality coaches here in the state of Wisconsin, Coach Petitgoue and Coach Pustina at Cuba City, Coach Pat Murphy at Monroe and many others.  The coach I would most like to spend time with during his glory years would be Coach John Wooden.  I could learn so much from his attention to detail and his passion for the game that I love very deeply.
