Below are finalists for our first annual WSN Senior Football Awards.

Kevin Stemke Award - Most Outstanding Senior Kicker/Punter

Kyle French, Menomonee Falls - French has made 11 field goals this year, believed to be one of the highest numbers in the state. Ranked as the top kicker in the state and one of the best in the nation, French is heading to the University of Wisconsin on scholarship. In a Level 2 upset of defending champion Homestead, French booted two early field goals to help stake the Indians to a lead they would not relinquish. He is a weapon in the field position battle as well, consistently hitting kickoffs into the end zone for touchbacks.

Isaac Groshek, Stevens Point - A relative newcomer to the sport of football, Groshek proved to be an outstanding weapon for SPASH this year. On loan from the soccer team where he was a 1st team all-conference forward this year, Groshek developed into a reliable kicker on the football field where he made seven field goals, including several from 40+ yards. In a big WVC game against Marshfield,  Groshek made three field goals (34, 45, and 42 yards) and all three extra points. He was a unanimous All-WVC kicker this year and honorable mention punter.

Will Hagerup, Whitefish Bay - One of the most highly-sought after recruits in state history, Hagerup held scholarship offers from a virtual Who's Who of college football programs. Ultimately he choose the University of Michigan. While an exact punt average was not available, Hagerup booms the ball with great hangtime. As a kicker he is solid too. His 49-yard field goal in Week 2 was the longest in the state this year.

Eric Kindler, Germantown - Kindler has been solid all season, but really solidified his place on this list with an outstanding performance in a 16-0 Week 3 win over Port Washington. In that game Kindler made three field goals, with all of them coming from 40 yards or farther. He connected from 43, 45, and 48 yards go give the Warhawks a big North Shore Conference win.

Nathan Vannarom, Hamilton - Vannarom made 7 field goals this year, and his best game was definitely a Week 1 matchup with Mukwonago. In that one, Vannarom made four field goals, including the game-winning 43-yarder in overtime as the Chargers pulled out a 32-29 win. Vannarom was very sound on his extra points this season as well.
