While this weekly blog doesn't officially start until Monday (and continue every Monday after that), we decided to throw online this welcome post as a way to get things ramped up. (It also provides an opportunity to work through some technical logistics related to blogging over here.)



The purpose of Hitting Lines will be the same as Cheese & Volleyball: Promote the sport in the state any way we possibly can. The way we see it: If WSN is successful in its efforts to increase coverage of boys and girls prep volleyball, it can only help everyone: Players and teams will be more searchable online, stats will be more available and we'll all be able to have more positive conversations about teams and players.



And if Hitting Lines can, in some small way, help WSN reach their goals, we feel it's worth giving it a go.



So what exactly are we going to do over here every Monday? To be honest, we're not 100 percent sure. We have a few ideas and it might vary from week to week. The only thing we know for sure is that the first one will appear in three days. See you then.
