Racine Case' Samantha Logic headlined the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association Division 1 All-State Team as a unanimous selection.

The Iowa-bound, 5-11 guard led the Eagles to a pair of consecutive Southeast Conference titles including this year's 14-0 league mark. A strong, physical guard with very high basketball intelligence and one of the top college prospects to come out of Wisconsin in recent years, Logic averaged 14.6 points per game her senior year and guided her Case team to its first two Division 1 state quarterfinal rounds in school history.

The rest of the first team included: Terri Bender, Jr., Pius XI; Alex Cohen, Sr., Nicolet; Alyssa Colla, Sr., Muskego; Makailah Dyer, Jr., Madison East; Kerry Gardner, Sr., Middleton; Ashley Green, Sr., Nicolet; Ashley Luke, Sr., Oak Creek; Tynika Rogers, Sr., Milwaukee Vincent; and Taylor Varsho, Jr., Marshfield.

Bender may have averaged just 11.8 points per game in this, her junior year, but the First Team All-Classic Eight nominee's presence on the floor proved more than stats seem to provide. The 5-7 guard was one of many weapons for the 25-1 Lady Popes, who reached their second consecutive state semifinal after winning the Division 1 title last season.

Cohen made news by selecting Northwestern as the college of choice to continue her basketball career, as the senior averaged 12.3 points and 6.7 rebounds per game this season. Listed as the state's tallest player at 6-5, Cohen's ability to pass, shoot the jumper and run the floor has made her a multifaceted offensive weapon.

Colla averaged a team-high 17.6 points for the rough-and-tumble Southeastern Conference third-place Warriors, who amassed an 18-6 mark overall. The talented, multidimensional guard showed her ability to take over a game single-handedly in her senior season, as the 5-11 guard will take her high basketball I.Q. to Northern Michigan next season.

Dyer's 19.8 points per game average ranked her third-best in Division 1, despite missing a pair of games (and subsequent losses by 14-9 Madison East) to kick off the new year. While still just a junior, the UW commit possesses great poise and athleticism, leading the Purgolders to more wins over the past two seasons than the previous seven combined.

Gardner has been the steady hand for the Cardinals throughout her high school career, this season leading Middleton to its fifth straight Big Eight Conference title and back to its fourth straight state tournament appearance. The 5-8 point guard earned All-State honors last season, this year making it two in a row averaging 12.6 points and 4.8 assists per game.

Green, with teammate Cohen, has been invaluable to Nicolet's recent seasons of success as the senior guard is one of the best athletes in the class of 2011. Her athleticism paired with her 6-0 size has provided matchup troubles for opponents her entire high school career as the two-time All-State nominee led the Knights with 17.6 points and added six rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.5 steals per game this year.

Luke was a major reason for Oak Creek's 19-6 record and 12-2 SEC mark this season, averaging 14.5 points and 8.7 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.9 steals per game – all team-highs. The 6-2 forward/center and Illinois-Chicago commit shot nearly 50 percent from the floor in her senior year and quickly became one of the state's premiere post players.

Rogers ran the show of what was a very potent Vincent offense this season that averaged 63 points a game. The tenacious 5-5 guard scored 13.1 of that team total herself as three-year starter guided the Vikings to consecutive Milwaukee City titles and a 21-3 record this season. Rogers will attend Central Arkansas next fall.

Varsho led the entire Division 1 field in individual scoring by scoring 21 points per contest as the Tigers won their third consecutive undefeated Wisconsin Valley Conference title. While the 5-7 junior guard's season was cut short before top-seeded Marshfield's sectional semifinal loss to Superior, Varsho's ball-handling skills and slashing and scoring ability has put her on the state map.
