Franklin defeats Middleton 68-57 to claim the title at it's own Rathke Memorial Tournament on December 29th, 2012. The Rathke Tourney is one of the top in-season tournaments in the state, and the Sabers took out Lourdes Academy and Arrowhead as well on their way to the title.

Four players reached double-figures in the championship game, led by 20 points from senior Cassidy Mihalko. Katie Nord added 13 while Jenny Eickhorst and Nala Mudd chipped in with 11 apiece. Liz McMahon (21 points) and Darcy Dean (17) did most of the damage for Middleton.
