Sun Prairie played well and had a 54-51 lead with just over a minute to go, but Iowa City West rallied back for a 59-55 win at the Iowa-Wisconsin Border Battle at the JustAGame Fieldhouse in Wisconsin Dells on January 12, 2013.

Nick Fuller led the way for Sun Prairie with 24 points, while Nick Noskowiak added 19. Iowa City West, the defending champion and top-ranked team in the state's largest division, was led by 15 points from junior Wyatt Lohaus, the son of former Iowa standout and Milwaukee Bucks player Brad Lohaus.
