Kennedy Blahnik of Algoma, Gabrielle Ortiz of The Prairie School, and Maddy Reed of Lourdes Academy lead the 2014 WBCA Division 4 All-State Team as unanimous selections.

Ortiz is making her third appearance on the All-State team, while Blahnik, Reed, Allazia Blockton of Dominican, Mallie Doucette of Colfax, Laken James of Oconto, Jaimee Pitt of Amherst, and Chloe Wanink of Cameron are repeat selections.

Blahnik has Algoma back at the state tournament for the third time in the last four years, as the Wolves try to repeat their 2013 state title. The 5-10 senior forward leads Algoma with 14.5 points per game, while adding 5.1 rebounds per contest.

Ortiz earned Honorable Mention All-State honors as a freshman, and has been a First Team choice the last three years. One of the most dynamic players to come out of the state in some time, the 5-7 senior Oklahoma recruit led the Hawks to an unbeaten regular season while averaging 20.5 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 4.3 assists per game.

Reed made a splash for Lourdes Academy with a big performance at state as just a sophomore, and has been a steady leader ever since. Lourdes won the Trailways-North title yet again, as the 5-10 senior averaged 17.8 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 3.9 steals per ballgame.

Blockton helped Dominican upset top-ranked Prairie School in the playoffs after finishing third in the tough Metro Classic Conference. The 5-10 junior scored 24.3 points per game for the Knights while pulling down 11.5 rebounds per contest.

Doucette led Colfax to a Dunn-St. Croix Conference title and undefeated regular season as a senior this year. A 5-5 senior guard, she helped the Vikings to the state tournament last season and averaged 14.2 points and 5.2 rebounds per game as a senior.

James, a 5-9 senior guard, helped Oconto to a 20-4 record this season and second place finish in the Packerland Conference that included a pair of defending state champions. She led the team in most major categories, scoring 20.1 points, grabbing 6.9 rebounds, and dishing out 5.6 assists per game.

Pitt is a repeat WBCA All-State selection who averaged 16.7 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 4.2 assists as a senior for her coach and father Jay Pitt. The 5-8 senior guard was the CWC-8 Player of the Year last season and figures to garner plenty more hardware before it's all said and done.

Wanink is just a junior, but has averaged better than 19 points per game every year during her career so far. The 5-7 guard scored 26.3 points per game as the Comets won the Lakeland-Central and finished 22-5.

Shae Brey, a 6-0 sophomore, has Regis in the State Tournament and is garnering plenty of college recruiting attention already. She averaged 16.2 points and 5.4 rebounds this season while leading the team in steals and assists.

Kelli Schrauth is a big reason the Saint Mary's Springs girls hoops team is making its first ever WIAA State Tournament berth. The 5-11 junior forward led the team with 15.3 points and 9.4 rebounds per contest.
