Dominican's Kostas Antetokounmpo averaged just 4 points per game last year as the Knights won a fourth-straight state title, but with incredible length, athletic ability, and bloodlines, many people were expecting much bigger things from the 6-10 senior forward this season.
With Diamond Stone gone, Kostas became the go-to player, and on Monday afternoon at the WBY Shootout in Mequon, he proved he's starting to embrace that role.
With just over a second left on the clock and Dominican inbounding under its own basket, Antetokounmpo stepped to the ball and received the pass with just enough time to fire up a fallaway 17-footer. The ball bounced high off the rim and through to give the D4 top-ranked Knights a 58-56 victory against Kettle Moraine Lutheran. He finished with a game-high 19 points.
