Prep Props - Week 8

Prep Props is our weekly look at the best individual statistical performances in the state, with the leaders in rushing yards, passing yards, and receiving yards. Prep Props is published every Monday morning.

Week 8 Rushing Leaders

It has been a huge season for Racine St. Catherine's junior quarterback Da'Shaun Brown. A few weeks ago, he earned a scholarship offer from the Wisconsin Badgers as an athlete prospect. On the field, he has been putting up ridiculous numbers, including in a 55-7 win over Kenosha St. Joseph on Saturday that clinched at least a share of the Metro Classic Conference title. Brown carried the ball just ten times but finished with 402 yards and 6 touchdowns, averaging better than 40 yards per carry. He also completed five of 11 passes for 92 yards and a score.

Week 8 Passing Leaders

Wet weather put a damper on the passing game in many areas of the state, but not in Waukesha, where North quarterback Johnny Kelliher had a big day as the North Stars defeated Wauwatosa West 35-28 in a non-conference crossover. Kelliher completed 26 of 44 passes for 368 yards and 5 touchdowns in the victory.
