WisSports.net Level 1 Player of the Week Nominees:

Ryan Beirne, West Salem - Beirne did a lot of everything on Friday to help the fourth-seeded Panthers hold off fifth-seeded New Richmond. That included a leaping pass break-up of a fourth and goal play in the closing seconds to help secure the victory. Beirne threw for 91 yards, rushed for 89, had 14 tackles, made both extra points, punted, and kicked a 43-yard field goal in the win.

Josh Biesterveld, Durand - When you go on the road to win a playoff game by three scores, you know someone had to have a big night, and for Durand, that was Josh Biesterveld. In the Panthers' 54-34 win over Cumberland, Biesterveld went for 403 yards and six touchdowns on 30 carries, as Durand amassed 535 rushing yards as a team.

Dario Crawley-Reid, Martin Luther - Seeded sixth, visiting Martin Luther put a running clock on University School of Milwaukee Friday night, topping the Wildcats 42-7. Most of the damage was done on the ground, as Crawley-Reid finished with 339 yards and 5 touchdowns on 22 carries.

Jacob Heyroth, Lodi - The top-seeded Blue Devils got a much bigger scare than they would have liked from eighth-seeded Mayville on Friday night, but Heyroth's big day helped the team prevail. Trailing 31-24 entering the fourth quarter, Heyroth scored a pair of touchdowns in the final period to lift Lodi to a 38-31 victory. He finished with 39 carries for 302 yards and 3 touchdowns, adding 56 kick return yards as well.

Scott Subert, Hurley - It was quite the shootout between Hurley and Turtle Lake on Friday. While Turtle Lake threw for 452 yards, Hurley amassed 647 rushing yards with 10 rushing scores, as three players went over the 100-yard mark. Leading the way was Scott Subert, who finished with 21 carries for 318 yards and 5 touchdowns in the 76-44 victory.
