The WSN 8-Man Football Awards were launched in 2016 to recognize the outstanding players participating in reduced player football. Awards presented will be Offensive Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year. All players are eligible regardless of grade level.

Each year, five finalists will be announced the week prior to the 8-Man Jamboree. Winners will be announced the week following the 8-Man Jamboree.

These awards are not associated with any conference nor the WFCA awards, and are presented independently by WisSports.net.

D.J. Geishert, Wisconsin Heights - Geishert is second in the state in tackles with 111, which includes 10 tackles for loss and 3.5 sacks. "He is primarily our weakside outside linebacker, whose primary responsibility is to set the edge and force flow to our inside linebackers," said head coach Jeff Supernaw. "Despite being in a non-attacking role, he leads the conference in tackles, tackles for loss, and sacks."

Marshall Hackel, Newman Catholic - Hackel is the best player on a dominating Newman Catholic defense that held five opponents under 100 yards of offense. He totaled 76 tackles this season, with 17 tackles for loss, 5 sacks, 7 forced fumbles, 4 fumble recoveries, a safety, and 2 blocked punts. "He is quick off the ball, holds the edge if needed with his strength, and for the last few weeks has been beating double teams on a consistent basis. I don't think there is a better defensive player," said head coach Paul Michlig.

Brandon Huettl, Phillips - Also a 1,000-yard rusher on offense, Huettl was a tackling machine for the Loggers, racking up 96 total tackles, 60 of them solo stops. He added 11 tackles for loss, 2 sacks, 2 forced fumbles, 3 fumble recoveries, and 3 interceptions (two of which were returned for touchdowns). "He played extremely physical and fast," said head coach Steve Precour. "He was punishing when he hit led blockers and when he tackled."

Jeremy Jorns, Sevastopol - Jorns was the MOLNPC-8 Defensive Player of the Year this season, recording a state-best 112 total tackles, including 12 tackles for loss and 4 sacks. He added three forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries as well for the Pioneers.

Levi Jensen, Luck - Just a sophomore, Jensen led the Cardinals defense with 67 tackles this season, forcing three fumbles and returning an interception for a touchdown. "He is a very instinctual linebacker with a high football IQ, which allows him to play at a different speed than his opponents," said co-head coach Ryan Humpal. "Levi was the best defensive player on Luck's team and the best defensive player we played against all year," said Siren head coach Ryan Karstens.
