State Football FAQ 2017 - info on parking, tickets, seating, TV, radio, carry-ins, & more

Here's some general information and frequently asked questions about the WIAA State Football Tournament.  

When is the tournament and when are the games?  
The tournament is held this Thursday and Friday. Here is the game schedule:

Thursday & Friday, Nov. 16-17
Camp Randall Stadium, Madison, Wis. 

Thursday, Nov. 16

Div. 7:  10 a.m. - Bangor (13-0) vs. Black Hawk (13-0)
Div. 6:  1 p.m. - Iola-Scandinavia (11-2) vs. Saint Mary's Springs (14-0)
Div. 5:  4 p.m. - Amherst (12-1) vs. Lake Country Lutheran (13-0)
Div. 4:  7 p.m. - Saint Croix Central (12-1) vs. Lodi (13-0)

Friday, Nov. 17

Div. 3:  10 a.m. - Rice Lake (10-2) vs. New Berlin Eisenhower (13-0)
Div. 2:  1 p.m. - Waunakee (13-0) vs. Brookfield Central (13-0)
Div. 1:  4 p.m. - Kimberly (13-0) vs. Sun Prairie (13-0)

Where is the state tournament held?  
All games of the State Football Tournament are held at Camp Randall Stadium in Madison. Click here for a map of the surrounding area. A seating chart and stadium diagram can be found here.

Where can I park?  
There are several parking ramps around the Stadium that will have special events parking available.

How much are tickets and where can I get them?  
Tickets can be purchased the day of games at Camp Randall Stadium. Avoid the lines the day of the game by buying State Football Finals tickets now online at or find the ticket link on the home page of the WIAA website. Ticket prices for the event are $8 per game for adults, $20 for a Thursday all-day pass, $15 for a Friday all-day pass and $30 for a two-day pass. Admission for children 6-years old and under is $1 per game. 
What can I take into the game? 
Food, beverages, containers, large bags, strollers, weapons, inflatables, noisemakers, and others are NOT allowed. Items that are allowed include diaper bags, umbrellas, blankets, jackets, medical items, seat cushions, binoculars, cameras, and small bags. For more details, please see the full Carry-In Policy here. Note that event staff will check bags and likely ask you to unzip your coat for a visual inspection.

Are the games on TV?  
Yes, all the championship games will be televised live on cable by FS Wisconsin. The finals of all seven divisions will be streamed live on the FoxSportsGo app through your cable system’s authentication.

Are the games on the radio?  
Yes, there are many radio stations that will carry the games. Check your local listings. Also, The Big 1070 in Madison will be broadcasting all of the games live on the radio and live online as well, with the broadcasts available on iHeartRadio as well. Many other games will be broadcast by local radio stations around the state.

Where can I find results from the games?

Where can I eat?
Camp Randall has concessions, but many fans choose to venture out between games or sessions. A number of fine eating establishments are within walking distance as well.
