D.C. Everest defeated D1 No. 8 Stevens Point, 65-63 in overtime, in a contest of teams that entered the game undefeated in Wisconsin Valley play.
D.C. Everest trailed Stevens Point, 58-55, with under 10 seconds to go, Malorie Schmoll brought the ball down the court for the Evergreens and found Taylor Petit on the right wing, she used a dribble and knocked down the triple as time expired to send the game into overtime.
Petit, a Youngstown State recruit, finished with a game-high 24 points for D.C. Everest. She tied the game with a three-pointer at the end of regulation and hit game-winner with 4.3 seconds left in overtime.
