The UW-Marathon women's basketball team did not lose a game in the Wisconsin Collegiate Conference this year, and that dominance continued with a state tournament championship over the weekend at JustAGame Fieldhouse in Wisconsin Dells.

The Huskies cruised past UW-Fond du Lac in a semi-final on Saturday, as Morgan Rachu was amazing once again, pouring in 43 points with 7 rebounds and 9 steals in an 82-52 victory.

On the other side of the bracket, UW-Waukesha dominated the second half against UW-Marinette, winning 65-48 after the game was tied at halftime. Hannah Bricco finished with 35 points and 7 rebounds in the win.

Marathon controlled Sunday's championship game against Waukesha from the beginning, leading 48-24 at halftime. With Bricco leaving the game early with a leg injury, Waukesha was not able to mount a challenge, as Marathon went on to win 98-50. Rachu capped her incredible career with 48 points, 9 rebounds, 6 steals, 4 assists, and not a single turnover. In fact, Marathon committed just five turnovers in the game, compared to 34 for Waukesha.

The WCC announced the All-Tournament Team at the completion of the event:

All-Tournament Team
Mariana Meissner, UW – Marinette
Sam Freund, UW – Fond du Lac
Hannah Bricco, UW – Waukesha
Jayci Blume, UW – Marathon
Morgan Rachu, UW - Marathon
