Senior Girls Basketball Awards: Shooter Finalists

Wisconsin Sports Network is proud to showcase the WSN High School Basketball Awards.

The pre-season watch list was trimmed down to 15 semi-finalists, and five finalists for the award have now been selected. Winners are announced the week of the state tournament. Finalists are eligible for just one of the five awards. 

Kassandra Bartek, Oak Creek -- Bartek is averaging 12.8 points per game with 69 three-pointers (45% 3PT) on the season. The University of Mary recruit helped Oak Creek go undefeated in Southeast Conference play and a 23-2 overall record heading into Saturday's Division 1 sectional final against Milwaukee King. 

Shay Frederick, Hortonville -- Frederick is averaging 16.2 points per game with 76 three-pointers (40%) for the Polar Bears, while also contributing 5.1 assists and 2.6 steals per contest. The Valparaiso recruit has led the Polar Bears to a 19-6 record this season and play Onalaska in a Division 2 sectional final on Saturday. Frederick was a WBCA all-state pick as a junior. 

Emma Gamoke, Onalaska -- Gamoke is averaging 15.5 points per game with 75 three-pointers while shooting over 47 percent from behind the arc. She is also contributes 4.2 rebounds, 2 assists and 1.3 steals per contest for the Hilltoppers who are 22-3 entering Saturday's Division 1 sectional final against Hortonville. 

Sydney Levy, Appleton North -- Levy is averaging 19.3 points per game for the Lightning this season. The UW-Milwaukee recruit was WBCA all-state selection last season when she helped Appleton North to a prefect record and Division 1 state title. The Lightning play FVA foe Kimberly in a D1 sectional final on Saturday. 

Brooklyn Paulson, Holmen -- Paulson averaged 18.6 points per game with 59 three-pointers (30.7%) for the Vikings who finished the year with a 13-11 overall record. The NCAA Division III St. Mary's Winona recruit also contributed 4.4 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 1.5 steals per game the season.
