Seymour's Hailey Oskey selected as the top senior Wing

Seymour's Hailey Oskey has been selected as the senior Wing as part of the WSN Basketball Awards

Oskey versatile wing that can get to the hoop off the dribble and knock down an outside shot. She also uses her athleticism and strength to rebound and defend at a high level. 

The UW-Green Bay recruit averaged 18.6 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals per game for the Thunder, who went unbeaten in the Bay Conference and finished 23-2 overall.

Oskey scored a season-high 30 points in a 78-56 win over Freedom on December 21. 

After helping Seymour to the Division 2 sectional finals as a junior, the Thunder advanced to the sectional semi-finals this season.

The 5-foot-10 guard ended her career as Seymour’s all-time leading scorer (girls and boys) with 1,571 points, leading the team to 75 wins in her four years on varsity. 

Finalists for the award were Oskey, Brehna Evans of West De Pere, Erin Howard of Madison East, Jayda Jansen of Sun Prairie, Madelyn Neff of Hayward, and Maggie Negaard of Stevens Point. 

Past winners of the award include Abby Gerrits of Pewaukee (2017), Arike Ogunbowale (2015), Maya Jonas of Whitefish Bay (2014), Samantha Terry of Baraboo (2013), and Brittney Fair of Nicolet (2012).
