Wisconsin Sports Network is proud to showcase the WSN High School Basketball Awards.

The pre-season watch list previously was trimmed to 15 semi-finalists, and now five finalists for the award have been selected. Winners are announced the week of the state tournament. Finalists are eligible for just one of the five awards. There will be a total of 25 finalists for the five awards, five different players for each award.

Senior Boys Basketball Awards -- Shooter Finalists

Ethan Anderson, 6-4, Black River Falls -- The Player of the Year in the Coulee Conference turned in a stellar season for the league champions, averaging 27.6 points and 10.6 rebounds. Anderson shot 51 percent from the floor, 87 percent from the foul line and 35 percent from three-point range while always drawing the opponent's top defender. The four-year varsity performer scored 1,826 career points and went for a career-high 48 points in a triumph over Luther this season on the strength of making all 18 of his foul shots. Anderson, who remains undecided about where he will play college basketball, owns a NCAA Division II offer from Moorhead State.

Drew Blair, 6-3, Stevens Point -- The Player of the Year in the Wisconsin Valley Conference has been perhaps the state's most consistent performer throughout the 2017-18 season. Blair is averaging 29.7 points, 6.4 rebounds and 3.6 assists for the three-time defending WIAA Division 1 state champions while playing all but one game this winter without his trusted sidekick, Joey Hauser. Hauser was lost for the season after the opener against Rhinelander due to ankle surgery. Blair is shooting a remarkable 57 percent from the floor, 87 percent from the foul line and 31 percent from three-point range for the Panthers, who take a 20-5 mark into their sectional final game against Oshkosh North. Blair is headed to defending NCAA Division II national champion Northwest Missouri State in the fall on a basketball scholarship.

John Diener, 6-4, Cedarburg -- The Player of the Year in the North Shore Conference, Diener averaged 23.2 points per game for a Cedarburg squad that went 19-6 and won the league championship. A four-year varsity performer, Diener scored 2,250 career points and went for 30 or more five times during his senior season, including 41 in a regional-final loss to Plymouth. Diener, who signed with NCAA Division I DePaul last November, shot 79 percent from the free throw line in 2017-18 and scored a WIAA State Tournament-record 46 points in a Division 2 state semifinal win over Milwaukee Washington as a junior.

Jaxon Knotek, 6-6, River Falls -- The Player of the Year in the Big Rivers Conference, Knotek has been a focal point for opposing defenses in the conference the past three seasons. The 1,000-career scorer averaged 20.4 ppg as a senior while helping River Falls to a 15-9 record under coach Zac Campbell. Knotek has very deep shooting range and has the size and length to shoot over most defenders. He will play college basketball in the fall at NCAA Division I North Dakota State.

Jack Gohlke, 6-2, Pewaukee -- The NCAA Division II recruit for Hillsdale College in Michigan has made 83 of 183 attempts from three-point range for 45 percent. Gohlke is averaging 16.5 points per game for Pewaukee, which won the Woodland West Division title and takes a 23-2 mark into its sectional final game against Milwaukee Washington.
