The WSN15 series will celebrate the 15th Anniversary of WisSports.net by looking back at the top players, teams, and moments of the past 15 years (2003-2017).

The WSN15 boys' basketball series continues with the Top 15 Players of the WSN Era.

When one thinks of Keaton Nankivil and his abilities on the basketball court two traits immediately come to mind -- pure explosiveness and impressive physical strength.

Nankivil, a 2007 graduate of Madison Memorial, dunked with ease, swatted shots at a very high level and developed into a dependable scorer and rebounder while helping coach Steve Collins' storied program to a WIAA state championship in 2005 and a runner-up finish in 2006.

Nankivil's teams at Madison Memorial went a combined 94-8 during his four-year prep career. He averaged 16.8 points, 11.0 rebounds and a remarkable 6.8 blocked shots per game as a senior, helping the Spartans to yet another trip to the WIAA State Tournament.

Though Madison Memorial dropped a 49-46 decision to Milwaukee Vincent in the Division 1 state quarterfinals, Nankivil did more than his share to help his squad, scoring 16 points, snaring 10 rebounds and blocking six shots.

Nankivil was chosen Mr. Basketball in 2007 and also earned Player of the Year honors from the Associated Press.

A two-time first-team all-state performer, the 6-foot-8, 245-pound Nankivil went on to enjoy a very productive four-year career at the University of Wisconsin.

Playing for coach Bo Ryan and the Badgers, Nankivil started every game as both a junior (2009-10) and senior (2010-11).

For the past seven seasons, Nankivil has played professional basketball overseas. He currently is with the Orlandina Basket team of the Italian Serie A league.
