The WSN15 series will celebrate the 15th Anniversary of WisSports.net by looking back at the top players, teams, and moments of the past 15 years (2003-2017).

The WSN15 boys' basketball series continues with the Top 15 Players of the WSN Era.

Each time Trev Anderson was given a challenge, he responded in a big way.

First, people questioned his outside shot.

The 6-foot-2 point guard from Stevens Point Area Senior High (SPASH) responded by shooting an incredible 52 percent from three-point range as a senior, making 72 of 139 attempts while leading the Panthers to their second straight WIAA Division 1 state title and a 28-0 record in 2015-16.

Then, people wondered if he had the lateral quickness to defend against quick point guards.

Once again Anderson responded in a big way, leading Stevens Point in steals while successfully guarding extremely quick backcourt opponents such as Carlos Curtis of Milwaukee Riverside, Juwan McCloud of Germantown and McKinley Wright of Champlin Park, Minn., among others.

Anderson finished his time at SPASH with 2,360 points, shared the Mr. Basketball award with teammate Sam Hauser in 2016, and helped Stevens Point to a 100-6 record during his remarkable high school career.

Anderson's work ethic, dogged determination and winning mentality landed his a scholarship to play NCAA Division I basketball at UW-Green Bay.

Anderson went on to average 9.8 points, 2.9 rebounds and 2.7 assists at Green Bay as a freshman a year ago.

A back injury limited Anderson to just 20 games, but he proved in those contests he would likely become a four-year starter for the Phoenix.

However, Anderson opted to leave the Horizon League school in the spring of 2017 to chase his dream of playing at the University of Wisconsin. Anderson enrolled at UW as a preferred walk-on last summer.

The two-time first-team all-state selection by the Associated Press sat out the 2017-18 campaign as a transfer and will have three years of eligibility remaining with the Badgers beginning next season.

And though Anderson is not among the scholarship players currently in the UW program, few are betting against him overcoming the odds once again and becoming a contributor to a program at the highest level of college basketball.
