The WSN15 series will celebrate the 15th Anniversary of WisSports.net by looking back at the top players, teams, and moments of the past 15 years (2003-2017).

The WSN15 boys' basketball series continues with the Top 15 Players of the WSN Era.

The numbers pretty much say it all concerning the high school basketball career of Whitnall's Tyler Herro.

The 6-foot-5 wing guard and Kentucky recruit completed his prep hoops career with 2,036 points after scoring 24 points in his final game, a 60-59 loss to Pewaukee in a WIAA Division 2 sectional semifinal game last month.

More than just a scorer, Herro also had 16 rebounds and six assists in that setback to Pewaukee, which ended Whitnall's season with a 20-5 record.

Ranked among the top 50 prospects in the United States in the 2018 class, Herro averaged 32.9 points, 8.2 rebounds and 3.9 assists en route to earning unanimous first-team all-state honors from the Associated Press.

Despite missing three full games and a part of another with an injury, Herro still made 89 shots from three-point range in 213 attempts for 42 percent. He also scored a career-high 48 points in a 91-75 victory over New Berlin Eisenhower on February 2, 2018.

As a junior, Herro missed about half of the season with an injury, but averaged 23.2 ppg in the 13 games he played. He averaged 24.0 ppg as a sophomore and 15.8 ppg as a freshman for the Falcons.

Herro is a four-time first-team all-league pick in the Eastern Division of the Woodland Conference and helped Whitnall to the WIAA Division 2 State Tournament in 2016.

An athletic guard who can score from deep, off the dribble and from the foul line, Herro also is an exceptional passer.

Herro committed to the University of Wisconsin on September 12, 2016, but opted to reopen his recruitment on October 17, 2017. He eventually committed to Kentucky and will be a freshman in the Wildcats' program in the fall of 2018.
