The WSN15 series will celebrate the 15th Anniversary of WisSports.net by looking back at the top players, teams, and moments of the past 15 years (2003-2017).

The WSN15 boys' basketball series continues with the Top 15 Players of the WSN Era.

At 6-foot-6 and roughly 250 pounds, Jeronne Maymon was definitely a presence on the basketball court.

During his four years of varsity hoops at perennial state powerhouse Madison Memorial, Maymon used his combination of size, strength and skill to score a school-record 1,669 points while also grabbing a school-record 779 rebounds.

As a junior in 2007-08 and again as a senior in 2008-09, Maymon was voted the state's Player of the Year by the Associated Press. He also won the Mr. Basketball award presented annually by the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association in 2009.

His list of impressive accomplishments doesn't end there, either.

During all four of Maymon's years playing for coach Steve Collins at Memorial, the Spartans qualified for the WIAA Division 1 State Tournament.

The Spartans finished 24-2 and lost to Oshkosh West (26-0) 54-42 in the 2006 state-title game before falling to Milwaukee Vincent in the quarterfinals at the Kohl Center 49-46 in 2007. Maymon finished the game against Vincent with 18 points and 11 rebounds.

As a junior in 2008, Maymon's Memorial squad went 23-3 and lost to Wauwatosa East 58-56 in overtime in the Division 1 title game. Maymon averaged 30.0 points and 14.7 rebounds in the three state-tournament games the Spartans played that season.

Finally as a senior in 2009, Maymon and the Spartans broke through, defeating Racine Horlick 56-41 in the state-title contest as Maymon helped the Spartans cap a 26-1 season with 25 points and 12 rebounds.

Maymon's teams at Memorial went a combined 94-9 and won four consecutive titles in the very competitive Big Eight Conference.

Ranked No. 46 nationally in the class of 2009 by Rivals.com, Maymon opted to accept a scholarship offer from Marquette coach Buzz Williams.

However, Maymon left Marquette after appearing in just nine games and scoring 36 points. He transferred to Tennessee and had a strong three-year career with the Volunteers, averaging 9.7 points and 8.1 rebounds as a senior in 2013-14.
