Below are the PlayInTheDells.com Athlete of the Week Nominees for the week of May 14 through 20. Voting is open until Thursday at 4pm, so be sure to vote for who you feel is most deserving and spread the word. Users may vote once per day.

PlayInTheDells.com Athlete of the Week Nominees: May 14-20

Isabella Curtin, Madison Memorial softball: Curtin, a UW-Green Bay recruit, helped the Spartans to a 4-1 record last week. She went 16-for-23 with 4 home runs, 4 doubles, a triple, 11 runs and 12 RBI. Madison Memorial finished 9-9 in the Big Eight, its best finish since 2015. Curtin, a senior, posted a .562 batting averaging in conference play and a slugging percentage of 1.141. Madison Memorial is 10-11 entering the WIAA Playoffs. 

Taylore DeLong, Greendale girls soccer: DeLong helped the Panthers to a 3-0 record last week. She netted 2 goals and added an assist in a 3-0 win over South Milwaukee on Tuesday. In a 5-0 victory against Greenfield, she finished with a goal and an assist. DeLong, a senior, has 16 goals and 15 assists on the season. Greendale is 13-2-1 and 11-0 in the Woodland. 

Josie Klein, Burlington softball: Klein led the Demons to a 5-0 record last week. She earned wins over D1 No. 5 Wilmot (5-1), Waterford (10-0), Delvan-Darien (3-0) and River Valley (11-0). Josie also finished with 9 hits and 8 RBI last week. Burlington, 17-5 overall, clinched its first Southern Lakes title since 1989 and finished the year 13-1 in league play. 

Erik Nygaard, Winnebago Lutheran baseball: Nygaard helped the Vikings go 5-0 last week. On Monday, he had a walkoff single in Winnebago Lutheran's 4-3 win over St. Mary's Springs (8-innings). Erik went 2-for-5 in the Vikings' 8-3 win against Mayville and WLA secured the outright Flyway title. 

Jack Washburn, Webster baseball: Washburn, son of former MLB Player Jarrod Washburn (Webster head coach), helped lead the Tigers to a 4-0 record last week. He picked a win on the mound against Northwestern on Monday, pitching 2 scoreless innings with 3 strikeouts. At the plate, he went 8-for-15 in the four games with 5 home runs, a triple, 15 RBI and 9 runs scored. In a victory against Luck/Frederic, Jack hit 4 home runs in his first four at-bats and tallied 11 RBI. On the season, he is hitting .463 with 36 runs, 8 doubles, 2 triples, 8 home runs and 45 RBI. On the mound, Jack is 6-0 with a 0.23 ERA with just one earned run allowed in 30 innings while striking out 58 batters. Webster is 19-2 overall and the champions of the Lakeland-West (7-0); the Tigers are the top-ranked team in the WBCA Division 3 State Rankings.
