Senior Softball Awards: Outfielder Finalists

Wisconsin Sports Network is proud to showcase the WSN Senior Softball Awards

The pre-season watch list has been trimmed down to five finalists. Winners are announced the week of the softball state tournament.

WSN Senior Softball Awards -- Outfielder Finalists:

Alexa Blasczyk, Ashwaubenon -- Blasczyk was name co-Player of the Year in the FRCC. She hit .482 with 41 hits, 25 RBI, and 35 runs scored. Alexa recorded a .659 slugging percentage with 7 doubles and 4 triples on the season, while going 13-for-14 on stolen bases. On defense, she finished with a .917 fielding percentage with 4 outfield assists. Ashwaubenon ended the season with a 23-6 record and reached sectional play before falling to conference foe Green Bay Preble, 4-1. 

Isabella Curtin, Madison Memorial -- Curtin was voted first team all-Big Eight this season. She hit .526 with 40 hits, 27 RBI and 29 runs scored. Isabella recorded a 1.026 slugging percentage with 7 home runs, 11 doubles and 3 triples. On the bases, she went 14-for-15 on stolen bases. The UW-Green Bay recruit finished with a .978 fielding percentage with 4 outfield assists. Madison Memorial ended the season with an 11-12 record, falling to conference foe Middleton 3-1 in a regional contest. 

Mackenzie Fries, Medford -- Fries hit .464 with 39 hits, 34 RBI and 34 runs scored as a senior. She posted a .857 slugging percentage with 9 home runs, 7 doubles and a triple. On the bases, she stole 10 bases and was caught just once. Mackenzie posted a perfect fielding percentage and recorded 3 outfield assists. Medford went 8-15 this season, losing to Great Northern foe Antigo/White Lake 5-3 in a Division 2 regional. 

Hailey Kammerer, Juda/Albany -- Kammerer was selected as the Six Rivers-East Player of the Year. She posted a .680 batting average with 34 hits, 22 RBI and 25 runs scored. Hailey finished with a 1.020 slugging percentage with 7 doubles, 2 home runs and 2 triples. She went 6-for-8 on stolen base attempts. On defense, Kammerer had a perfect fielding percentage and had one outfield assist. Juda/Albany finished the year with a 17-4 record, reaching a Division 4 regional final before dropping a 8-0 contest against Johnson Creek. As a junior, Kammerer helped Juda/Albany capture the Division 4 state title. 

Ally Miklesh, Stevens Point -- Miklesh was voted co-Player of the Year in the Wisconsin Valley. She hit .576 with 59 hits, 22 RBI, 4 doubles and 3 triples. The Wisconsin recruit went 36-for-37 on stolen bases. Miklesh helped the Panthers reach the Division 1 state tournament twice, including ending the 2016 season as the state champions. Stevens Point finished this season with a 27-2 record, falling to Chippewa Falls in a sectional final, 4-1.
