Below are the PlayInTheDells.com Athlete of the Week Nominees for the week of June 4 though 10. Voting is open until Thursday at 4pm, so be sure to vote for who you feel is most deserving and spread the word. Users may vote once per day.

PlayInTheDells.com Athlete of the Week Nominees: June 4-10

Mattie Bredeson, Poynette softball: Bredeson led the Pumas to their fourth state title in program history. In the Division 3 state championship game, the senior allowed just one hit and tallied nine strikeouts with no walks in the 2-0 victory against Tomahawk. In Poynette's 4-3 win over Westfield in 11-innings, Mattie allowed four hits and finished with six strikeouts and walked just two in the 11 innings. All three of the runs were unearned. 

Ashley English, Sheboygan North girls soccer: English scored the game-winning goal on a header off a corner kick with the game tied at 1-1 in the second overtime to propel Sheboygan North to a 2-1 win over top-seeded Arrowhead in a sectional final. The Golden Raiders (18-1-1) will make their first state tournament appearance in program history on Thursday when they face Muskego in a Division 1 state semifinal at Uihlein Soccer Park in Milwaukee. 

Maddie Gardner, Sun Prairie softball: Gardner led the Cardinals to their first state title in program history and perfect 29-0 record. She finished with seven strikeouts and walked three in Sun Prairie's 7-1 win over Burlington in the championship game. Maddie also drove in a pair of runs in the win. In a state semifinal, she recorded 8 strikeouts in the win over Menomonee Falls, and tallied nine strikeouts in the Cardinals' victory against Appleton North in a state quarterfinal. Gardner, a sophomore, is committed to the University of Wisconsin. 

Nate Stevens, Waunakee baseball: Stevens hit three home runs and collected 10 RBI in the Warriors' WIAA Division 1 Sectional wins over Holmen and DeForest. Nate hit two home runs and drove in five runs in Waunakee's 12-1 win over Badger-North rival DeForest in a sectional final. In the Warriors' 13-2 win over Holmen in a sectional semifinal, Stevens, an Arkansas recruit, went 3-for-3 with a home run, double and five RBI. Waunakee (18-6) will face Eau Claire North in a Division 1 state quarterfinal on Tuesday. 

Allison Tillema, Horicon softball: Tillema led Horicon to its third state title in program history. The sophomore allowed just one hit and struck out five, while walking two in the 11-0 win against Thorp in the Division 4 championship game. In Horicon's 5-0 win against top-ranked and previously unbeaten Pacelli in a state semifinal, Tillema recorded the 12th no-hitter in state softball history. She struck out two and walked three in the 5-inning no-hitter.
