Eau Claire Memorial's Jack Brown has been selected as the top senior Pitcher as part of the WSN Senior Baseball Awards.

Brown has been the ace of the staff the last couple seasons for the Old Abes. After earning eight wins as a junior, he's been a key part of the team's success this season as well, receiving Pitcher of the Year honors in the Big Rivers. He tossed a no-hitter two weeks ago against Menomonie in a 1-0 victory.

The Minnesota State commit started eight games this season for the Old Abes, going 4-1 with a 0.97 ERA and 0.95 WHIP. Brown struck out 51 batters in 43 innings, allowing just six earned runs all season.

Finalists for the award were Brown, Brendon Bille of Waupun, Blake Thiesse of G-E-T, Trevor Tietz of Watertown, and Jonathan Zacharias of Notre Dame.

Past winners of the award include Sun Prairie's Nate Hoffmann (2012), Kenosha Bradford's Kevin Tibor (2013), Stevens Point's Cal Giese (2014), Kimberly's Brice Swick (2015), Arrowhead's Ryan Schmitt (2016), and Eau Claire North's Tanner Halvorson (2017).
