WisSports.net Week 1 Player of the Week Nominees:

Darios Crawley-Reid, Martin Luther -- Playing against a team with twice it's enrollment, Martin Luther was not intimidated in any way. Having a back like Crawley-Reid sure makes things easier, as he accounted for three, first quarter touchdowns and six in total as the Spartans ran away to a 49-7 victory over Whitnall last Friday. Crawley-Reid carried the ball just 11 times for racked up 265 yards and 5 touchdowns on the ground, adding a 99-yard touchdown reception as well. He had four scoring plays of at least 60 yards.

Julius Davis, Menomonee Falls -- Often, big rushing performances come in blowout victories, but Friday night, Menomonee Falls needed every single yard produced by senior Badgers recruit Julius Davis. In a 28-19 victory over Germantown, Davis carried the ball 33 times for 334 yards and 3 touchdowns. Two of those scores came in the fourth quarter, which began with Falls trailing 19-14. Davis produced a viral run last year and had one similar against Germantown, breaking four tackles en route to a 95-yard touchdown in the second quarter to tie things up. Video of that run can be found below.

Dylan Hendricks, Pulaski -- The Red Raiders got off to a great start to the 2018 season with a hard-fought 21-14 victory over Green Bay Southwest last Thursday in a game that came down to the final seconds. Senior Dylan Hendricks carried the load offensively, accounting for 364 of the team's 388 yards of offense. He rushed 38 times for 314 yards and all three of the team's touchdowns while also throwing for 50 yards while playing a bit out of position. The North Dakota State recruit also recorded five tackles on defense.

Gavin Lisowe, Chilton -- Chilton scored a nice 24-0 opening win over Algoma as the Tigers are angling for a return to the playoffs this season. Junior running back Gavin Lisowe accounted for one rushing, one passing, and one receiving touchdown in the victory, all coming before halftime. He'd finish with 93 yards of total offense to go with seven tackles, including the rare offensive trifecta.

Grant Smith, North Crawford -- North Crawford played a back-and-forth affair with Belmont at the UW-Platteville Jamboree on Saturday, ultimately pulling out a 38-29 victory. Smith caught four passes for 127 yards ad three touchdowns, but didn't save his big plays for just offense. He also intercepted four passes on defense, two of which he returned for touchdowns. Both the interception return scores came in the fourth quarter.
