Below are the PlayInTheDells.com Athlete of the Week Nominees for the week of August 20 though 26. Voting is open until Thursday at 4pm, so be sure to vote for who you feel is most deserving and spread the word. Users may vote once per day.

PlayInTheDells.com Athlete of the Week Nominees: August 20-26

Haakon Anderson, Verona football: Anderson helped lead the Wildcats past Middleton, 27-22. He ran the ball nine times for 31 yards and three touchdowns, including the go-ahead score in the fourth quarter. Haakon also recorded 136 yards receiving on four catches in the victory. Verona is now 2-0 on the season and Anderson leads the team in receiving (161 yards) and is second in rushing (113 yards). 

Addie Barnes, Neenah girls volleyball: Barnes led Neenah to the championship of the 24-team St. Thomas More Joust and finish 11-1 in the opening week of the season. She compiled 82 kills, 55 digs and 12 blocks last week. In the Rockets' 2-1 win over Arrowhead in the championship match, Barnes finished with 12 kills, 7 digs, 3 service aces and 2 blocks. 

Kyle Hagerman, Sun Prairie boys soccer: Hagerman led the Cardinals to a 3-0 record in the first week of the 2018 season. He finished the week with 12 goals and 4 assists. Kyle scored 4 goals and added 2 assists in Sun Prairie's 8-4 win over Oak Creek, 4 goals and an assist in a 6-1 win over De Pere, and 4 goals and an assist in a 5-1 victory against Oregon. 

Maddi Kealy, River Falls girls volleyball: Kealy helped River Falls capture the 40-team UW-Stout Sprawl over the weekend and finish the first week of the season with a 10-0 record. She tallied 78 assists, 17 service aces and 17 digs in the matches. In the Wildcats' 2-0 win against Clayton in the championship match, Kealy finished with 25 assists, 3 digs, 2 kills and a service ace. 

Will Rautmann, Howards Grove boys soccer: Rautman led the Tigers to a 2-0-1 record in the first week of the season. He scored 4 goals in a 4-0 win over Wrightstown, 2 goals in a 2-1 win over Sheboygan North, and found the net once in a 2-2 tie against Port Washington.
