WisSports.net Week 3 Player of the Week Nominees:

Andrew Ernstemeyer, Regis -- Regis got a big win in the Cloverbelt Conference, hammering Stanley-Boyd 44-7. Ernstmeyer led a strong rushing attack, carrying the ball 13 times for 169 yards and a pair of touchdowns, averaging 13 yards per carry. He would add a two-yard reception, a 16-yard kickoff return, as well as four tackles and a sack on defense.

Tyler McCoy, New Holstein -- New Holstein ended Sheboygan Falls' 22-game conference winning streak that had dated to the 2014 season, topping the Falcons 22-14. McCoy opened the scoring with a one-yard plunge in the first quarter, and gave the Huskies some breathing room late in the fourth quarter when he took a handoff 65 yards to provide the final score of the game. McCoy finished with 32 carries for 277 yards and the two scores.

Eben Sauer, Fond du Lac -- Fond du Lac posted its second win of the year over a highly-ranked opponent, pulling away from seventh-ranked Appleton North for a 30-7 victory. North opened the scoring and led 7-0 after the first quarter, but Fondy would score the next 30 points. Two of the touchdowns came from Sauer, who finished with 18 carries for 165 yards on the ground. His scoring runs came from 50 and 49 yards out.

Kade Schultz, Menomonie -- The Mustangs are an extremely young team in 2018, but the team is growing up in a hurry, holding off Chippewa Falls for a 30-23 victory to open Big Rivers Conference play. Schultz scored three, one-yard rushing touchdowns and added a 14-yard score, finishing with 127 yards on 20 carries.

Nick Webley, Burlington -- Burlington dominated Union Grove 48-7 last Friday with a huge performance on offense. Demons senior receiver Nick Webley was huge in every facet, catching seven passes for 210 yards and three touchdowns, including a 99-yard scoring catch in the second quarter. Webley added a 51-yard touchdown run as well.
