Kade Schultz of Menomonie has been selected as the Week 3 Player of the Week following a statewide vote on WisSports.net. His big day helped the Mustangs top Chippewa Falls in a key Big Rivers Conference showdown. He was chosen from a strong group of nominees in Week 3. A total of 3,856 votes were cast, as Schultz's 1,238 were enough to edge second place Nick Webley of Burlington, who tallied 908 votes.

The Mustangs are an extremely young team in 2018, but the team is growing up in a hurry, holding off Chippewa Falls for a 30-23 victory to open Big Rivers Conference play. Schultz scored three, one-yard rushing touchdowns and added a 14-yard score, finishing with 127 yards on 20 carries. It was the 106th all-time meeting between the teams, as Menomonie leads the series 57-47-2.

Remember folks, the only way your favorite player can be named WisSports.net Player of the Week is to vote and share the word. Look for the Week 4 nominees to be posted Monday afternoon.
