Please note, divisional placement in our poll is based on our Enrollment Projections done earlier this year. Divisional placement in the WIAA playoffs is not determined until after the season and these projections can and will be different than the divisions at the end of the year. We have added an 8-Man Coaches Poll this season.

Division 1

Not too much changed in the top of the rankings, as Fond du Lac continues as the #1 team, followed by Kimberly, Muskego, Neenah, and Franklin. Janesville Craig dropped out of the rankings after a 49-0 shutout loss to Sun Prairie, who take the Cougars' place at #10.

Division 2

Like Division 1, there was little change in the top part of D2, where Brookfield Central is a unanimous #1 selection this week. Slinger's loss at the hands of Hartford last Thursday has the Owls moving from sixth to out of the top ten altogether. River Falls' big come-from-behind win over Menomonie has the Wildcats in the top ten for the first time in many years, perhaps a decade.

Division 3

This was the division with the most intrigue, as Catholic Memorial dropped a nail-biter to D1 #3 Muskego on a failed two-point conversion attempt in the final seconds. In a mild surprise, the Crusaders narrowly held on to the top spot in Division 3, with New Berlin Eisenhower just behind, followed by Rice Lake. 

Division 4

Saint Croix Central continues to dominate the Division 3 Coaches poll, as they team they lost to in the state title game last season, Lodi, remains second. Only one ranked team in D4 suffered a defeat last week, #6 West Salem, with the Panthers falling out of the poll to be replaced by Platteville, who enters at #10.

Division 5

Saint Mary's Springs' stranglehold on the division continues, as the Ledgers have already defeated two highly though-of teams in D5: Amherst in Week 2 and Cedar Grove-Belgium last week. CGB's loss moves them down just one spot to sixth this week, however. Of note, Stanley-Boyd's second loss of the year drops the Orioles out of the poll for the first time in several years. Three new teams enter this week, all unbeaten: Omro, Peshtigo, and Kewaunee.

Division 6

Iola-Scnadinavia is once again the top-ranked team in Division 6 Coaches Poll, followed closely by Grantsburg and Regis. Mineral Point makes a nice jump up this week from tenth to seventh, as Pecatonica/Argyle's close loss to Black Hawk caused the Vikings to fall form sixth to ninth. Racine Lutheran dropped one spot to sixth after a loss to Martin Luther.

Division 7

Edgar is a near unanimous #1 selection in Division 7, as Bangor managed to swipe away one top vote. The top six is unchanged from last week. In fact, only one ranked team from last week lost, as Clear Lake fell out after being #7 previously. Loyal enters the poll at tenth.

8-Man Football

Newman Catholic scored a dominating win over Gillett and remains on top of the 8-Man Football rankings this week. Luck is second, while Northwood/Solon Springs drops all the way from third to tenth after a loss to Shell Lake. Speaking of the Lakers, they move in at #9 this week.
