Week 5 Rushing Leaders

Brookfield East's Donavan Hunt showed Friday night that while Menomonee Falls' Julius Davis may have been out with injury, there was still an elite back on the field. Hunt carried the ball 26 times for 314 yards and 3 touchdowns as B'East pulled away for a 35-6 victory. The Spartans led 21-6 at halftime, but Hunt would score on a 69-yard run in the third quarter and 71-yard jaunt in the fourth to ice the game away.

Week 5 Passing Leaders

When the final score is 67-65 in double overtime, you know there are going to be some ridiculous offensive numbers, and that was exactly the case in Chippewa Falls' win over Eau Claire Memorial on Friday night. In a losing cause, Memorial junior quarterback Bryson Johnson connected on 31-of-52 passes for 450 yards and 8 touchdowns. His 8 scoring passes ties the state record, set initially by Xavier's Matt Ferris in 2013 and matched twice last year by Deerfield's Dylan Haak and Watertown's Dylan Fagerland.

Week 5 Receiving Leaders

Onalaska rolled up more than 600 yards of offense on Friday night, and the Hilltoppers needed all fo them, as they held off Sparta 62-55 in a good old-fashioned shootout. Ray Heilman was the leading receiver in the game and in the state in Week 5, catching 8 passes for 204 yards and 3 touchdowns.
