Please note, divisional placement in our poll is based on our Enrollment Projections done earlier this year. Divisional placement in the WIAA playoffs is not determined until after the season and these projections can and will be different than the divisions at the end of the year. We have added an 8-Man Coaches Poll this season.

Division 1

Fond du Lac's dominance continues, keeping the Cardinals on top as a unanimous choice in the Week 6 WisSports.net Division 1 Coaches Poll. Kimberly's dominating victory over previous #4 team Neenah has the Papermakers close behind once again, while the Rockets drop down to seventh. Madison Memorial and Hudson suffered their first losses last week as well, dropping out of the rankings. Newcomers this week are unbeated Green Bay Preble as well as one-loss Racine Horlick.

Division 2

There's a new #1 team in Division 2, as defending state champion Waunakee ascends to the top spot, replacing Brookfield Central, who fell to Marquette in a close game. The Lancers dip to third this week behind Homestead. Stoughton drops out this week, with unbeaten West De Pere coming into the poll for the first time at #9. The Phantoms have a huge game this weekend against fourth-ranked Menasha.

Division 3

Catholic Memorial retains a slight edge over New Berlin Eisenhower atop the Division 3 Coaches Poll again this week. Notre Dame's second loss of the year, this time to Bay Port, caused the Tritons to fall from second to tenth. New Berlin West and Seymour dropped out completely this week after suffering their second losses, with Onalaska and East Troy moving into the rankings.

Division 4

Division 4 had as much stability as any division this week, with no changes in the top nine teams. Saint Croix Central remains on top, with Lodi, Martin Luther, Racine St. Catherine's, and Little Chute rounding out the top five. Saint Francis, fresh off a thrilling win over Living Word Lutheran to keep themselves unbeaten, moves in at #10.

Division 5

Top-ranked Saint Mary's Springs took down yet another unbeaten, ranked team last week, hammering Omro, who had been seventh but dips to ninth this week. Westby had been in a tie for tenth with New Holstein but finished narrowly behind the Huskies this week and is out of the rankings.

Division 6

Iola-Scandinavia keeps the #1 position in the Division 6 Coaches Poll this week, as Grantsburg and Regis are right on their heels. Unity's loss at the hands of Grantsburg drops the Eagles from fifth to ninth. Racine Lutheran suffered its second loss of the season but manages to hold in the rankings at #8. Abbotsford is a newcomer to the poll for Week 6.

Division 7

While the top three (Edgar, Bangor, Black Hawk) remain rock solid, there was movement elsewhere in the D7 poll. Fall River suffered its first loss against fellow unbeaten Johnson Creek, dropping the Pirates from fourth to ninth. Creek moves up from ninth to fifth this week. Potosi/Cassville lost again, its second of the year, but narrowly stays in the rankings at #10.

8-Man Football

The top two teams in 8-Man Football continue to dominate, as Newman Catholic posted a big win while Luck received a forfeit. After that, things get a little dicey. Oakfield, Gibraltar, and Prairie Farm had been in the top five as unbeaten teams last week, but all suffered losses last Friday night. It threw the voting into upheaval, as half a dozen teams received at least one third or fourth place vote. Ultimately, Sevastopol settled into the third spot, with Northwood/Solon Springs and Gibraltar close behind. Florence made a big jump from tenth to sixth as the Bobcats remain undefeated. Clayton's win over Prairie Farm catapults the Bears into the #8 spot this week, one position ahead of Prairie Farm.
