As part of the weekly preview I produce every Thursday showcasing the best games from around the state, I always highlight one contest as the Game of the Week. To expand on that, each week I'll post a poll where you -- the fans -- can vote for who you think will win the Game of the Week.

Week 8 Game of the Week: Martin Luther (7-0, 5-0; D4 #3) at Racine St. Catherine's (7-0, 5-0; D4 #4) -- Friday, 7 pm

There are some outstanding gams on the schedule this week, including several others that would be worthy Game of the Week candidates, such as Fond du Lac at Neenah, Regis at Spencer/Columbus Catholic, and Fennimore at Mineral Point to name a few. But I'm going with Martin Luther at Racine St. Catherine's, a top five showdown in Division 4 between teams that put up big offensive numbers and feature two of the most dynamic offensive weapons in the state. Each squad averages 51 points per game coming into this one, dominating the opposition.

Martin Luther features perhaps the current front-runner for state Offensive Player of the Year in senior running back Darios Crawley-Reid, who has 1,590 rushing yards and an incredible 30 touchdowns through the first seven games, despite carrying the ball just 90 times. His 17.7 yards per attempt is ridiculous, and he's also caught two scores and thrown for another while playing nearly full-time on defense. Quarterback Nik Mueller has 10 touchdown passes (and six more on the ground) with no interceptions, while receiver Bryce Kulinski has put up big numbers as well.

Racine St. Catherine's features quarterback Da'Shaun Brown, who despite missing a game-and-a-half to suspension, has thrown 15 touchdowns and rushed for 13. Isaiah Dodd and Demarion Cobb have put up big numbers rushing the football as well. If you like scoring, there should be plenty of it in this one, with a couple of the state's top offensive players going toe-to-toe.
