Favorite Sport (and why): "Soccer is my favorite sport because I used to love playing it as a kid. I still enjoy watching it, however, I wasn’t able to play in high school because it wasn’t offered." 

Best Part of High School Sports (and why): "In my opinion, the best part of high school sports is being able to build some amazing friendships and relationships with peers and coaches throughout the four years and being able to experience many hardships and successes with them by your side."

Best Advice from a High School Coach: “Never settle.”

Most Memorable Moment in High School Sports: "My most memorable moment in high school sports was during my junior year of track when I anchored my 4x400 relay and 4x800 relay teams, passing many competitors, hearing my teammates yelling, and finishing in first to earn our state championship titles!"

Best Part of Playing Three Sports: "The best part about playing three sports in high school is that you are always involved and you meet so many amazing people within your school and even on the opposing teams during each and every sport season."

Toughest Part of Playing Three Sports: "The toughest part of playing three sports is finding enough time to dedicate to each sport, academic demands, and other extracurricular activities while making sure to take care of my mind and body as well."

Favorite Opponent (and why): "My favorite opponent is Manitowoc Lutheran because they are always great competition in basketball and volleyball and I also have close friends on their team(s) so the games always get intense yet still fun."

Toughest Individual You’ve Competed Against (and why): "The toughest individual I’ve competed against is Julianne Barkholtz because she is such a strong runner and both years I ran against her in the 400m, we were neck and neck until the finish."

Most Admired High School Teammate (and why): "Megan Lau is my most admired high school teammate because even though she was the only senior on our basketball team my junior year, she was always working hard on and off the court and putting in lots of extra time to help the team succeed."

College Plans: "I plan on attending Northern Michigan University to study environmental science and to further pursue my basketball career."

Activities Outside of Sports: "Outside of sports, I am also involved in Leaders of the Pack, Forensics, Solo and Ensemble, the Yearbook Committee, Destination Imagination, Girl Scouts, Spring Musicals, Conference Honors Choir, Senior Advisory Committee, National Honor Society and Class President."

I Find it Relaxing to: 'I find it relaxing to spend time with friends and family and our pets, watch movies, draw, listen to music, and be outdoors."
