The Potosi/Cassville co-op has been selected as the Week 7 Air National Guard Team of the Week following a statewide vote on WSN. The team got a big win over Bangor to end the Cardinals' 20-game winning streak. The co-op was chosen from a strong group of nominees in Week 7. A total of 6,275 votes were cast, as Kenosha Indian Trail's 3,103 votes edged Neillsville/Granton's 1,062 votes.

Potosi/Cassville ended Bangor's 20-game winning streak, topping the Cardinals 21-6 in a non-conference contest. The defense was outstanding, limiting Bangor to just 180 yards rushing on 52 carries, a 3.5 average. Meanwhile, Potosi/Cassville's running game cranked out 280 yards on the ground and 330 for the game. Both Colin Esser and Ty Bausch hit the century mark for Potosi/Cassville.

Remember folks, the only way your favorite team can be named Air National Guard Team of the Week is to vote and share the word. Look for the Week 8 nominees to be posted Monday afternoon.
