Below are the PlayInTheDells.com Athlete of the Week Nominees for the week of October 1 through 7. Voting is open until Thursday at 4pm, so be sure to vote for who you feel is most deserving and spread the word. Users may vote once per day.

PlayInTheDells.com Athlete of the Week Nominees: October 1-7

Adam Samuel, Pewaukee boys soccer: Samuel led the Divison 2, seventh ranked, Pewaukee boys soccer team to a 3-0-1 record last week. He began the week by notching 3 goals in a 6-0 shutout of Greenfield on Tuesday. Wednesday, he netted another 3 goals in a 7-0 win over West Allis Central. In a pair of games Saturday, Adam recorded 1 goal in a 3-2 win over The Prairie School, and then had a goal and an assist in a 6-6 tie with Nicolet.

Evan Carlson, Sauk Prairie boys soccer: Carlson began the week scorching hot with a 5 goal, 2 assist performance in a 9-0 win over Poynette/Portage on Tuesday. He then led the team to a 3-1 victory over Division 1, seventh ranked, Sun Prairie by notching 2 goals and an assist.

Colby Argall, Black Hawk football: Argall led the Division 7 second ranked Black Hawk football team to a 36-12 victory over Highland and at least a share of the Six Rivers Conference title on Friday night. Colby carried the ball 23 times for 293 yards and 4 touchdowns. He also completed the only pass attempt he made, and hauled in an interception on the defensive side.

Maggie Cartwright, Kimberly girls volleyball: Cartwright helped lead the Papermakers to a first place finish at the De Pere Invite. She had 45 kills and 25 digs on the weekend. Tuesday, she had 12 kills and 12 digs as Kimberly swept Oshkosh North 3-0. Maggie then had 23 kills and 21 digs in a 3-1 win over Hortonville on Thursday.

Jenna Chaussee, Chilton girls volleyball: Chaussee had a stellar day as the Chilton volleyball team captured a first place finish at the Oconto Falls Invite. She had 41 kills, 46 digs, and 10 aces over the weekend. Earlier in the week on Tuesday, Jenna had 19 kills and 9 digs in a 3-0 sweep of Two Rivers.
