Week 9 WSN Football Player of the Week Nominees

The WisSports.net Player of the Week is back again for 2018. Voting is featured at the bottom of this article. Voting is open until Thursday at 4 pm, so be sure to vote for who you feel is most deserving and spread the word (hint: Social Media is a great way to do so). Users may vote once per day.

WisSports.net Week 9 Player of the Week Nominees:

Joe Aguilera, Abbotsford - Abbotsford secured an outright Cloverwood Conference title, taking down Loyal, who had been tied for the lead, 49-22 on Friday night. Aguilera's big season continued, as he put up 280 rushing yards and five touchdowns on 26 carries. He also had five tackles on defense, punted twice, and made all seven extra point attempts.

Jordan Bishop, Monona Grove - Monona Grove claimed an outright Badger-South Conference title in dominating fashion, putting a running clock on second place Watertown in a 35-14 victory. Bishop threw three first quarter touchdown passes and five before halftime, finishing 10-of-16 for 288 yards and five touchdowns for the game.

Karson Butt, Edgar - Butt threw a 14-yard touchdown pass to Mason Stoudt with just five seconds left on the clock to give the Wildcats a 26-20 win over rival Stratford and complete an unbeaten regular season. His fingerprints were all over the game. He finished 12-of-15 for 250 yards and three touchdowns passing while also recording 13 tackles and a forced fumble on defense.

Owen Kudick, Kewaunee - Kewaunee may be best known for some outstanding quarterbacks and passing attacks over the years, but on Friday night the Storm turned to the running game to help secure a 38-22 win over Peshtigo and unbeaten regular season. Kudick was a work horse, carrying the ball 41 times for 287 yards and three touchdowns as the team claimed an outright MONLPC-Large title.

Jared Schneider, Homestead - The Highlanders wrapped up and unbeaten regular season and outright North Shore Conference title, their 18th straight year with at least a share of the conference crown. Ini a 35-14 win over second-place Slinger, Schneider had two 90+ yard touchdowns in the third quarter. The first came on a 92-yard return on the opening kickoff, and he later added a 95-yard touchdown catch. He also ran for a touchdown in the first half. Schneider finished with 294 total yards (109 receiving, 93 rushing, 92 return).
