Below are the PlayInTheDells.com Athlete of the Week Nominees for the week of October 22 through 28. Voting is open until Thursday at 4pm, so be sure to vote for who you feel is most deserving and spread the word. Users may vote once per day.

Osvaldo Sanchez-Arellano, Marquette boys soccer: Osvaldo had an incredible run in the two sectional games this past week for Marquette. In an 8-0 shutout over Kenosha Tremper in the sectional semi-final match, he netted 3 goals. He then followed that up by netting another 3 goals in the 6-0 sectional final win over Franklin, propelling the top ranked Hilltoppers to state.

Keri Walker, Living Word Lutheran girls volleyball: Walker was a huge playmaker as Living Word Lutheran swept its two sectional matches this past week. She notched 28 kills, 20 digs, 4 aces, and 2 blocks in the sweep of The Prairie School in the sectional semi-final match. Keri followed that up with 23 kills, 10 assists, 2 aces, and 3 blocks in the sectional final sweep of Howards Grove, helping the third ranked team in division 3 to a state appearance.

Kaley Blake, Burlington girls volleyball: Blake helped set her team up for success in two sectional sweeps this past week to lead Burlington to its fifth straight state appearance in girls volleyball. The junior setter had 33 assists in the sweep of Milton in the sectional semi-final. Kaley recorded another 33 assists in the sectional final sweep of Westosha Central as Burlington looks to claim it's second straight state championship.

Marissa Ellenbecker, Edgar girls cross country: Ellenbecker was trailing at the one-mile mark behind several runners in the Division 3 race this past Saturday. She then began her rise and ended up winning her second consecutive title with a time of 19:06.4.

David Vannucchi, Luther boys cross country: Vannucchi came into the weekend with an already extremely successful prep career. That didn't stop David from going ahead and winning his third consecutive division 3 state title by running a 15:43.9 race.
