University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire’s Madelyn Pashibin and UW-Whitewater’s Brittany Robinson were selected the Offensive Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year, respectively, to lead the individuals chosen to the 2018 All-Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Women’s Volleyball Team by the league coaches. In addition, UW-Eau Claire head coach Kim Wudi was picked the Coach of the Year.

Pashibin is fourth individual in program history to receive a player of the year award from the league, joining Abby Freiborg (2008), Liz Amici (2011) and Anne Satterlee (2012). Pashibin received first team honors for the second straight year and currently leads the conference with a .337 hitting percentage, while ranking second with 405 kills and 432 points. She has recorded double-digits in kills in 25 of 30 matches, including a season-best 23 against University of St. Thomas (Minn.) on Oct. 27.

Robinson earned the defensive honor for the second straight year, becoming the first individual in conference history to accomplish the feat. She is a two-time first team selection, as well as a four-time All-Defensive Team honoree, and currently leads the league with 5.83 digs per set. Robinson has recorded at least 15 digs in 24 of 29 matches, including a conference-high 45 digs against Carroll University (Wis.) on Oct. 10. The 45 digs broke a school single-match record and rank fifth on the WIAC single-match list.

Repeat selections on the first team from a season ago included:  UW-Eau Claire’s Madison Surprise; UW-La Crosse’s Marisa Johnson; and UW-Stevens Point’s April Gehl.

UW-Stout’s Steph Cannon was a repeat choice on the All-Defensive Team from a year ago, while UW-River Falls’ Hannah Robb earned a spot in the defensive squad in 2016.

Wudi claimed the coaching award for the third time in her career (2008 and 2010) after guiding the squad to the sixth WIAC regular-season championship in program history and first since 2011. UW-Eau Claire has a 27-3 record and compiled a 13-match winning streak earlier this season.

An All-Sportsmanship Team was chosen for individuals that displayed exemplary sportsmanship throughout the season. It included one member from each school.
