Below are the PlayInTheDells.com Athlete of the Week Nominees for the week of November 5-11 Voting is open until Thursday at 4pm, so be sure to vote for who you feel is most deserving and spread the word. Users may vote once per day.

PlayInTheDells.com Athlete of the Week Nominees: November 5-11

Grace Bennin, Verona/Mount Horeb girls swimming: Bennin ended an incredible prep career by capturing three titles this past weekend at the state title meet. She won the 200 individual medley with a time of 1:59:93. She also won the 200 medley relay alongside teammates Sara Stewart, Josie McCartney, and Kenzie Zuehl with a time of 1:43:34. Grace, who is a University of Minnesota commit also won the 100 meter breaststroke for the third consecutive year. Her time of 1:00:65 broke the Division 1 record.

Alex Current, Muskego football: Current helped lead Muskego football back to state for the first time since 1994. A sophomore running back, Alex rushed 19 times for 212 yards and a touchdown as Muskego beat Marquette in level 4 to advance to Camp Randall.

Bryce Huettner, Iola-Scandinavia football: As the third quarter was coming to an end in Iola-Scandinavia's 27-25 level 4 win over Grantsburg, Huettner made state history. He became the state's all-time leading rusher en route to leading Iola-Scandinavia to its second consecutive state finals appearance. Bryce rushed for 158 yards and two touchdowns in the hotly contested game. Going into his final prep football game Thursday at Camp Randall, Huettner has 6,714 career rushing yards.

Mitchell Waechter, St. Mary's Springs football: Waechter was the epitome of efficient in Spring's 41-12 Level 4 win over Lake Country Lutheran. He completed 11 of 13 passes for 219 yards and four touchdowns through the air. Mitchell, the Flyway Conference Offensive Player of the Year, also rushed for two scores, accounting for all six touchdowns for Springs in the game.

Carter Schmidt, Germantown boys volleyball: Schmidt had a phenomenal two day state tournament as Germantown captured its first every boys volleyball championship in school history. In the quarter-final sweep of Franklin, Carter had 13 kills and an ace. In Saturday's 3-2 semi-final victory over Catholic Memorial, he had 19 kills, 3 aces, 12 digs, and 3 blocks. Carter then had 14 kills, 3 aces, and 10 digs as Germantown beat Kimberly 3-1 to take home gold.
