PlayInTheDells.com Athlete of the Week Nominees: November 12-18

Colby Argall, Black Hawk football: Black Hawk came into the Division 7 championship game looking to change its fortune from last year where they lost to Bangor. Colby was a huge piece of that puzzle. He rushed 34 times for 109 yards and a touchdown as Black Hawk downed Edgar 22-15 to win its second state title in school history. He added 36 return yards and a seven yard reception to go along with four tackles defensively. On the go-ahead scoring drive, Argall rushed for 32 of the team's yards and also threw for the two-point conversion to go up seven.

Marcus Orlandoni, St. Mary's Springs football: Orlandoni was incredible on both sides of the ball for Springs football as they captured their fourth straight gold ball by defeating Stratford 20-17. Offensively, Marcus rushed 12 times for 124 yards and two scores, including the go-ahead touchdown late in the fourth quarter. Defensively, he had 11 total tackles, one and a half for loss, and a sack.

Da'Shaun Brown, Racine St. Catherine's football: Brown has fueled the Racine St. Cat's football team all season and that was on display in the Division 4 state championship. The versatile quarterback threw for 122 yards and rushed for 86 yards and a touchdown in the 8-7 win over Saint Croix Central. With 12 seconds left on the clock Brown rushed in from three yards out to pull Racine with one point. St. Cat's then lined up to go for two, and out of a shotgun, no-back set, Brown took the snap and rushed off the left tackle uncontested to give the Angels the lead, and ultimately their first school state championship in football.

Luke Fox, Catholic Memorial football: Luke was incredible at quarterback as he pioneered Catholic Memorial to one of, if not the greatest comeback in state history as they beat West De Pere 37-24 to capture gold. Halfway through the third quarter, Catholic Memorial was trailing 24-0 when Fox and the offense began to click. The smooth lefty quarterback then led Catholic Memorial on four straight scoring drives to take a 31-24 lead before a defensive touchdown finalized the scoring. Luke finished the game completing 19 of 29 passes for 225 yards and two touchdowns as well as rushing for 84 yards and another score.

Jake Raddatz, Homestead football: In a weekend filled with great defensive players and performances, Raddatz shined above them all. He was an absolute terror in Brookfield Central's backfield as Homestead took home Division 2 gold with a 51-14 victory. Jake had nine tackles, six for loss, one forced fumble, and an incredible four and a half sacks. His four and a half sacks more than doubled the state record at any level.
