Below are the PlayInTheDells.com Athlete of the Week Nominees for the week of December 10-16. Voting is open until Thursday at 4pm, so be sure to vote for who you feel is most deserving and spread the word. Users may vote once per day.

PlayInTheDells.com Athlete of the Week Nominees: Dec. 10-16

Lexi Wagner, G-E-T girls basketball: Lexi had quite the memorable week as she helped G-E-T to two victories over a pair of Coulee Conference foes. In a 78-15 Tuesday win over Viroqua, Lexi scored 20 points. In doing so, she became the school's all-time leading scorer; surpassing current Minnesota Gopher Annalese Lamke's previous record of 1,467 points. Wagner, a Youngstown State recruit herself, then had 39 points as G-E-T beat Westby 66-41.

Leah Earnest, Stevens Point girls basketball: Leah has been a go-to scorer early on for Stevens Point this season and this past week, she added two more 20 point games to her résumé. In a 59-32 win over Eau Claire Memorial, Leah had 24 points and 10 rebounds to lead the way. She followed that up with 29 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 assists in a 92-65 win over Wisconsin Rapids. Leah currently leads the Wisconsin Valley Conference in scoring (27 ppg) and rebounding (12.7 rpg).

Thomas Weis, Madison Edgewood boys hockey: Thomas had quite the week on the ice for the undefeated Edgewood boys hockey team. He began it by netting 3 goals and adding 2 assists in a 10-0 shutout of Monona Grove. He followed that up with a 5 goal performance in a 8-2 win over Milton. Weis finished the week off by scoring 4 goals and adding 3 assists in a 9-4 win over Stoughton.

Jalen Johnson, Nicolet boys basketball: Jalen, considered one of the best recruits in the state and country, helped lead division 2, top-ranked Nicolet to three victories this past week. In a 90-41 win over West Bend West, Johnson had 19 points. He then had 28 points in an 87-69 win over Grafton. In the marquee matchup in this early season of basketball, Jalen recorded a triple-double in a 78-70 win over Sussex Hamilton at the NY2LA Sports Classic in Brookfield Central. Dueling against Hamilton's Patrick Baldwin Jr., Jalen had 30 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists.

Keaton Ferris, Kaukauna boys basketball: Keaton has been a major catalyst to Kaukauna's 5-1 start to the season and number five ranking in division 2. In two close FVA games this past week, Keaton was a key component to why Kaukauna pulled off the victories. In the 91-89 win over Oshkosh North, he had 26 points. Ferris then followed that up with 20 points in a 78-77 win over Oshkosh West.
