Below are the PlayInTheDells.com Athlete of the Week Nominees for the week of December 17-23. Voting is open until Friday at 4pm, so be sure to vote for who you feel is most deserving and spread the word. Users may vote once per day.

PlayInTheDells.com Athlete of the Week Nominees: Dec. 17-23

Jennifer Wendler, Owen-Withee girls basketball: Jennifer had quite the week in a historic one for Owen-Withee girls basketball. She began by pouring in 37 points and 19 rebounds in a 64-61 win over Gilman. She shot 16 of 20 from the free throw line in the win. Jennifer then had 31 points and 9 rebounds as Owen-Withee beat Greenwood 56-34. Wendler, a Youngstown State recruit helped head coach Al Guthman to his 700th victory, which moved him to first place all-time in state history.

Brittney Limoseth, Waterloo girls basketball: Brittney set a career milestone as Waterloo beat Horicon 55-32. She had 24 points, 5 rebounds, and 6 steals in the victory en route to scoring her 1,000th point in her prep career. Brittney followed that up with 18 points and 6 rebounds in a 66-48 win over Wisconsin Heights.

Lai'Janique Perry-Ellis, Milwaukee Washington girls basketball: Lai'Janique did something this past week on the basketball court that is rarely seen, especially at the prep level. In Milwaukee Washington's 75-43 win over Milwaukee Reagan, Perry-Ellis recorded a quadruple-double. She scored 20 points, hauled in 12 rebounds, dished out 15 assists, and collected 11 steals. Lai'Janique followed that up with 26 points, 10 assists, 6 rebounds, and 7 steals in a 69-41 win over Dominican.

Jack Washburn, Webster boys basketball: Jack had a phenomenal week for the Webster boys basketball team and in doing so broke a record. In a 73-41 win over New Auburn, Jack poured in 29 points. He then followed that up with 15 points in a 70-44 win over St. Croix Falls. In the win over St. Croix Falls, Jack became the school's all-time leading scorer, a record that had stood for over 30 years. He currently sits at 1,123 career points.

Johnny Davis, La Crosse Central boys basketball: Johnny, a division 1 basketball prospect, led La Crosse Central to three wins this past week, including two in the City of Palms Classic in Florida. He began the week by scoring 24 points in an 87-35 win over Stoughton. He then had 33 points and 11 rebounds in a 70-57 win over Brunswick High School, out of Georgia. In that tournament game, Davis crossed the 1,000 point mark in his prep career. Johnny finished the week with 18 points, on 9 of 10 shooting, and 9 rebounds in a 78-44 win over Petal High School, out of Mississippi.
