Whitefish Bay senior Ellie Clements has been selected as the PlayInTheDells.com Athlete of the Week for the week of December 31 through January 6.

There was a total of 7,212 votes cast this week. Clements finished first with 3,185 votes. Stoughton's Nicolar Rivera finished second with a total of 3,041 votes.

Ellie started 2019 off with quite the bang for the Whitefish Bay's girls basketball team. She began the week by pouring in 25 points and collecting 10 rebounds as the Blue Devils beat New Berlin West 55-37. Ellie followed that up with 18 points and 9 rebounds in in a 63-45 win over Nicolet. She scored her 1,000th career point in the victory over Nicolet.

Ellie is currently averaging over 21 points and 10 rebounds a game for the Whitefish Blue Devils. She has helped them to a 12-1 record and a number six ranking in Division 2.
