Below are the PlayInTheDells.com Athlete of the Week Nominees for the week of January 14-20. Voting is open until Thursday at 4pm, so be sure to vote for who you feel is most deserving and spread the word. Users may vote once per day.

PlayInTheDells.com Athlete of the Week Nominees: Jan. 14-20

Delaware Hale, Sun Prairie boys basketball: Delaware helped the Sun Prairie boys basketball team notch a pair of impressive victories last week. First in a 69-41 win over Wisconsin Rapids, Hale had 17 points in the win. In a matchup with Minnesota powerhouse DeLaSalle at the Midwest Classic in La Crosse, Hale guided the Cardinals to a 72-61 win. He scored 22 points in the contest.

Will Mahoney, Appleton West boys basketball: Will helped Appleton West notch two Fox Valley Association conference wins this past week. In a 72-63 win over Oshkosh North, he had 22 points. With his scoring output, Will surpassed the 1,000th point mark in his career. He then had 13 points as Appleton West beat Fond du Lac 53-45. He's helped lead the Terrors to a 12-3 record.

Max Savaloja, Eau Claire Memorial boys hockey: Max was a key reason for an undefeated week for the Eau Claire Memorial boys hockey team. In a 7-1 win over Rice Lake, he had 1 goal and 3 assists. He then notched 2 goals as Eau Claire Memorial beat Notre Dame 4-2. In doing so, the Old Abes won the Warrior Invite in Wausau.

Bailey Butler, Black Hawk girls basketball: Bailey recorded a pair of 20 point games as the top ranked division 5 team continued its undefeated season. In an 85-22 win over Pecatonica, Bailey had 24 points, 7assists, and 8 steals. Then, in a showdown with second-ranked division 4 Melrose-Mindoro, Bailey had 20 points an 7 rebounds to lead Black Hawk to a 60-42 win.

Sami Martin, Platteville girls basketball: Sami notched a pair of double-doubles as the Platteville girls basketball team picked up a pair of victories last week. She scored 20 points and hauled in 11 rebounds as the Hillmen beat New Glarus 61-45. Then in a tight 61-60 win over SWC foe Lancaster, Sami had 27 points and 16 rebounds. In her impressive performance against Lancaster, Martin crossed the 1,000 career point mark in her junior season.
