Sun Prairie junior Delaware Hale has been selected as the PlayInTheDells.com Athlete of the Week for the week of January 14 through 20.

There was a total of 1,984 votes cast this week. Hale finished first with 863 votes. Platteville's Sami Martin finished second with a total of 544 votes.

Delaware was a key piece as Sun Prairie picked up a couple of impressive victories last week. In a 69-41 win over Wisconsin Rapids, Hale notched 17 points.

Sun Prairie then faced off with DeLaSalle out of Minnesota at the Midwest Classic in La Crosse. Delaware scored 22 points as Sun Praire knocked off the top ranked team in Minnesota's Class 3A Division, 72-61.
