Video: Schaeffer's layup sends DeForest past Oregon and into a D2 regional final
With the game tied at 46 with 9.1 seconds left, DeForest senior Aleah Grundahl received the inbounds pass and found junior Sam Schaeffer on the left wing and she used a left hand drive to get to the basket and lay in the game-winner.
The Norskies earned a 48-46 victory against Oregon.
Grundahl led DeForest with 12 points and junior Megan Mickelson added 10. Schaeffer finished with 7.
DeForest plays at Monona Grove at 7pm tonight, in a Division 2 regional final.
