| Bio | A star at Madison West since his sophomore season, Settle is an experienced running back with plenty of speed to boot. He's also a shifty runner who loves to make defenders miss. Totaled 262 carries for 1,773 yards and 27 touchdowns in 2008 and has amassed 3,114 yards and 42 touchdowns in his career. Earned Associated Press first-team all-state, WFCA honorable-mention all-state, WFCA all-region, Capital Times first-team all-area, Wisconsin State Journal first-team all-area, Madison All-City, Back of the Year-Ray W. Huegel Memorial Award, and first-team all-conference accolades as a junior. Also received all-Madison, first-team all-conference and Big Eight Conference Return Specialist of the Year honors. Named Capital Times special-mention all-area, Wisconsin State Journal honorable-mention all-area, all-Madison and first-team all-conference as a sophomore. Son of University of Wisconsin running back's coach John Settle. Other Sports: Track-State qualifier in the 100-meter dash and long jump as a junior. |
