It's hard to imagine a player with a bigger impact on his team than Santiago-Lloyd had last season. He earned Greater Metro Conference Offensive and Defensive Player of the Year honors, adding WFCA All-State on both sides of the ball as well. As a running back he went for 2251 yards and 31 touchdowns in 12 games, including a 41 carry, 271-yard, 2 touchdown performance in a playoff loss to Homestead. Defensively he recorded 74 tackles and 4 interceptions. A bull at 5-10, 235 pounds, he exhibits excellent quickness and agility for someone his size. It remains to be seen how his game will translate to college opportunities or success at the next level (and what position he'll play there), but he is an amazing high school player that can offer a lot at the college level as well. |
